My secret garden is taking over. Growing wild. I love it. We talk everyday. I made a raised bed for the squash they are crawling out of it. Bathtub for carrots and peppers. Watermelon and squash in the luggage rack, tomatoes in the dog house. Then there are tubs and two chest of drawers for beets and I forgot. Can’t wait to see how much they grow tomorrow.
Stone Soup

When wind gusts are 45-60 mph you go inside. Inside you cook.
What is in the kitchen? Well, I have lots of onions but not in mood for onion soup but started with the onion sliced and sauté. Add chicken bone broth and garlic clove. Search the freezer for…… something. Found a baggie of frozen chicken which turned out to be turkey. Add baby carrots and apple cut into chunks. Add some lemon juice and chipotle pepper flakes. It was bland. So now for the stone. Add a jalapeño more chipotle strawberries and kiwi. Dried cherries and a mix of dry fruit and almonds. Some more lemon juice.
That was one yummy blustery day stone soup.
I think a teaspoon of vanilla yogurt on top or sweet pink wine would be good but I didn’t have any.
Stone soup is always wonderful. How do you make yours?

Too cold and windy. Only thing to do is bake bread. Loaded mashed potato bread minus bacon and butternut squash bread with dried fruit and nuts.
Oh yum!

an autumn-flowering crocus with reddish-purple flowers, native to warmer regions of Eurasia. Enormous numbers of flowers are required to produce a small quantity of the large red stigmas used for the spice.
Made basmati rice and added red saffron which turns a beautiful gold. There must be inner meaning. How within Ones pain is gold. Like wabi sabi. Repairing the crack in pottery with gold. It is the imperfections that create beauty. I think while eating Basmati rice and saffron I’ll meditate on healing the cracks.

Are you ready!?! It is delicious, seriously.
3 granny smith apples cook in a little water with 2 shakes cinnamon and one shake clove. I had a cucumber which I don’t like but figured it would be good in soup and it is. Take off green skin and cook with apple.
When soft blend.
Add 2 cups frozen or fresh blueberries and blend. Put in refrigerator to get cold. Before serving swirl a teaspoon of Greek or any kind you like yogurt. Enjoy cold.
