I had many adventures from my trip across the east and south eastern coast. While I was in Philadelphia I gained a growing interest in the texture and design of manhole or sewer covers.

Then I made new friends in Philadelphia.

From here I journeyed on to North Carolina Shore.

A Bite Inside

I was craving the cake again while visiting my brother who has no sweets in the house. so the only thing left to do was to check out his cupboard. The result was delicious.
1 cup all bran cereal
Soak with orange juice until moist but no extra juice is on the bottom.
Lots of cinnamon
Dash of cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 tablespoon of molasses
2 handfuls of raisins
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup of flour
2 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoon maple syrup
Small crystalized ginger cut into small pieces ( the bite inside)
Lightly dust the top with walnuts
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
Light, fluffy, and oh so yummy!

New attitudes

Having time to just be still and think is very enlightening. I have come up with many solutions to questions and challenges. It is amazing how much trusting and friendlier cities other than Vegas are.
Here in Philadelphia children leave toys on the lawn, people have furniture on the porch and it is not chained, doors are not locked and bolted as soon as one enters the house. People smile and make friendly comments when passed on the street. Now the traffic is thick and drivers can stress one out but the overall attitude is relaxed and trustful such a huge difference from whatI have been living under in Vegas or Tucson.

Beauty’s Bounty

Beauty abounds in deep green plants and wild vibrantly colored flowers.

Lost posts

I have posted a number of times but it seems they have not appeared. If I can read this I have some beautiful photographs of my journey to post. See you soon.

The Journey

It has been a magnuficent journey so far. Travel on plane and bus meeting so many wonderful people. It began with my granddaughters 4th birthday. Then the visit to oil city which is nothing like the lies hype and photographs they post. On to greyhound to philadelphia. Got to teach the qigong portion of my brother’s tai chi class. The people are so positive it set the day for joy. Even when the bank called to tell me there was fraud on my card it didn’t dampen. I called the bank in time faxed paperwork. So everything is wonderful.
