Morning Art

Here are. Three painting done this morning. Now onto some inside construction.

Storms Coming

Black cloud embrassing the mountains

Wind batters the aluminum siding in stacatto rhythms like a drummer not sure when to come in.

hair lashes across my face as my breath is stolen

Tree branches scrap and scar the walls

Birds shout as only the brave or very foolish attempt flight

It is a good wind cleansing the earth

But I am glad to finally be inside

The woodstove comforts with a heat only it can

A wonderful day to make art as the wind creates, displaces and redesigns the earth.

Time out

I took some time out from working on the aluminum can and digging a Kiva to sketch.

Eviction Notice

I don’t know who lives here but they just got their eviction notice.

Vista Del Viejo

View of the old one

The view is down my road looking towards Mexico. They say you can see the old man resting. His head is on the right, hands relaxed over the chest and knees bent upwards.

Health Benefits of the Pomegranate

  • Most powerful anti-oxidant of all fruits
  • Potent anti-cancer and immune supporting effects
  • Inhibits abnormal platelet aggregation that could cause heart attacks, strokes and embolic disease
  • Lowers cholesterol and other cardiac risk factors
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Shown to promote reversal of atherosclerotic plaque in human studies
  • May have benefits to relieve or protect against depression and osteoporosis

Many studies show that the pomegranate is one of the most powerful, nutrient dense foods for overall good health. These clinical findings clearly show a correlation between pomegranate compounds and their positive effect on both human and animal cardiovascular, nervous, and skeletal health. This is one fruit that you can’t afford to exclude from your diet!

tiny leaves and buds are poking out.

Snow Rooster

Rooster crows

Sound breaking off at first syllable

 He tries again

So mornful

6:30 the sky is still dark

A dusting of snow covers the ground

The rooster no longer trys to welcome the light.
