Eastern Moon

Eastern Moon is a short novel I wrote in 2009.  It opens with the poem below.

And so she will remain a beautiful memory someone he will
always lust after but can never have. Leaving the past behind
in a dust one to blur all vision of what was or dreams so painfully
desired. It so clouds the eyes and mind. A mix of wind and sand,
burning as if memory itself was not enough, pain involves tears
and thus creating the mud rivers sliding down her face
The red streaks confuse the viewer; if they be blood or tears?
Of course it is both, as the tears come from deep within her
heart, cries, both silent and obvious.
So enveloped by the whispers from the past she could not see
nor hear the rumble around her.
Danger, joy, love or death it did not exist. Lost, only that
lost existed. Gripped tightly in the fi st of time, form and colors
altered, compressed by the living breathing dancing dust, she saw
no other world, frozen in time.
